[Radio] Keeping kids reading

With summer holidays afoot, it’s easier than ever for children to leave the books on the shelf and play outside or stare at a tablet or computer, yet skipping out on reading for an entire summer can have detrimental effects on a child’s development and reading skills.

How can we keep children engaged, and, more importantly, encourage them to want to keep reading?

I spoke with Ryan Spencer from the University of Canberra to get some tips.
