[Radio] Placebo antidepressants

Placebos are sham treatments that lack an active drug. However, research is emerging that indicates that the outcome of treatment, at least for cases of mild depression, may be just as good for a placebo as for currently prescribed medications. More surprisingly, it may not even depend upon patients being unaware that they are taking placebos. I discussed the exciting possibilities with Dr Paul Biegler from Monash University.
